About Us

Star of Dune is a Dubai-based premium jewellery brand. This website is owned and operated by Dune Theory FZE, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. All references to "Star of Dune", "we", "us", or "our" refer to Dune Theory FZE.

Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website or placing an order, you agree to the following Terms. Star of Dune reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website implies acceptance of any revisions.

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions and Return Policy prior to placing your order.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a purchase.

Products & Descriptions

  • Our pieces are crafted with care. Subtle variations are part of the story. No two pieces are exactly the same.
  • Product images are for reference. Lighting and screens may shift tones slightly. Jewellery looks different in every light.
  • All descriptions, including materials, dimensions, and stone details, are provided in good faith. If you believe a product does not match its description, contact us within 7 days of delivery.
  • The content on our website is provided for general information purposes only. Any reliance you place on it as the sole basis for a purchasing decision is at your own risk.
  • Occasionally, information on our website may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct these and to cancel any orders placed at an incorrect price, at any time without prior notice.
  • We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any product without notice. Evolution is part of the process.

The Nature of Jewellery

Every piece you wear carries a little of the life you live in it.

Over time, jewellery naturally evolves, softening at the edges, deepening in tone, acquiring a patina that is entirely its own. This is not imperfection. This is character.

Metals, however durable, respond to the world around them. Moisture, heat, perfume, oils, and everyday contact all leave their mark over time. To keep your Star of Dune pieces looking their best, we recommend:

  • Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or applying skincare and perfume
  • Store pieces individually in the provided pouch or box when not in use
  • Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each wear
  • Avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemicals, chlorine, or saltwater

Changes in surface appearance resulting from regular wear, contact with skin or substances, or improper storage are a natural characteristic of jewellery and do not constitute a manufacturing defect. Star of Dune is not liable for these changes.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Apple Pay
  • Buy Now Pay Later via Tabby (where available)

Star of Dune does not store card details. We reserve the right to cancel orders we cannot verify.

We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased per person or per order, and to refuse or cancel orders that appear to be placed by resellers or distributors.

Promotions & Offer Codes

  • Only one promotional code may be applied per order
  • Codes are valid for full-price items only, unless otherwise stated
  • Promotions are subject to stock availability and may be withdrawn at any time without notice
  • Star of Dune reserves the right to cancel orders that attempt to misuse promotional codes

Orders & Confirmation

  • Orders are placed by completing checkout on our website. A legally binding contract is formed once payment is received and your order is confirmed via email.
  • In cases of product unavailability after your order is placed, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.
  • Shipping details and address cannot be changed once your order is placed. Please review your details carefully at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to cancel orders in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud. If something does not feel right, we make it right with a full refund.

Order cancellations by the customer must be requested before dispatch. Once shipped, cancellation is not possible. Our returns process applies.

Shipping & Delivery

We deliver within the UAE only, via our courier partner. Orders are accepted seven days a week.

  • Dubai: within 3 working days
  • Abu Dhabi & other Emirates: within 4 to 5 working days
  • You will receive tracking details by email or WhatsApp once your order has been dispatched.
  • In the event of any unforeseen delay, we will inform you via email or phone as soon as possible.
  • Legal title to your order passes upon shipment. Risk of loss or damage remains with Star of Dune until delivery is confirmed.
  • Once your order leaves our facilities, we are not liable for courier delays or circumstances outside our control.
  • Incorrect addresses provided at checkout are the customer's responsibility. We are unable to redirect orders once dispatched.

Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for defective, damaged, or incorrectly dispatched items. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. UAE return shipping is covered by us for all approved claims.

Once a refund or replacement has been confirmed, no further compensation shall be requested or issued beyond what is stated in our Return Policy.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including brand name, logo, photography, copy, and design assets, belongs to Dune Theory FZE and is protected under UAE and international law.

The ideas, the designs, the details, all ours.

Reproduction for commercial use without written permission is prohibited.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Star of Dune (Dune Theory FZE) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the order in question.

Privacy & Data

We collect only the information reasonably required to fulfil your order and communicate with you: your name, email address, delivery address, and phone number.

  • You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, or to request its removal. Contact us at youarethestar@starofdune.com.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • We may disclose personal information only when required to comply with UAE law or a legal process.
  • If you have an account with us, please keep your login details private. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Star of Dune (Dune Theory FZE), its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or damage, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of another party.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Force Majeure

Star of Dune shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performance, where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to acts of war, civil unrest, government action, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, courier or logistics disruptions, or any other event that directly or indirectly prevents us from fulfilling our obligations.

Where such an event causes delay, the affected period will not be counted against any timelines set out in these Terms. We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and work to resolve the situation.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any term or provision of these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that term or provision at any time in the future. All rights and remedies remain reserved.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
